Election Day Is Here! Cast Your Ballot Today!

Today is Election Day! The Federal Voting Assistance Program wanted to send one last reminder for U.S. Uniformed Services, their family members and citizens residing outside the U.S.to cast their absentee ballots and make sure they are properly postmarked as of today. If you requested your absentee ballot, but did not receive it from your State, use the online tools available at www.FVAP.gov.

Many voters may have waited until today to cast their ballot, and sometimes the online systems supporting online ballot delivery systems can slow down. If you experience any difficulties with the tools available on www.FVAP.gov, you may use the PDF fillable Federal Write-In Absentee Ballot (FWAB) as a backup ballot and follow these steps:

  1. Find your appropriate federal candidates by visiting the official web site of your state election official for official ballot listings.
  2. Complete your ballot by filling in online or hand-writing your choice of candidates. You can enter the name of a candidate, or simply write in the name of a political party, and the candidate for that party will automatically get your vote.
  3. Print and follow the instructions for returning the ballot to your local election official.
  4. Many States allow ballots to be returned by email or fax. Consult www.FVAP.gov to see what your State allows and the requirements for postmarking your ballot and the date it must be received by the local election official.

FVAP is here to assist you with around-the-clock support by telephone at 800-438-8683, DSN (312) 425-1584, toll-free from overseas, email at vote@fvap.gov, or through online chat by clicking the link in the top banner on any of the www.fvap.gov web pages.
